A refugee’s journey

In real life, refugees have only one life... And this 'retro-gaming' experience is here to remind us of that.
Context
In France, the status of a refugee is often misunderstood and sometimes confused with that of a migrant. However, a refugee is someone forced to flee their country to escape persecution or conflict, seeking safety. This journey, often painful and extremely dangerous, is fraught with challenges. The UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency, is committed to protecting these vulnerable individuals and giving them a chance to rebuild their lives in safety. In 2023, over 110 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced, a record number, with humanitarian needs continuously on the rise.
Issue
How can we change the perception of the French regarding the plight of refugees to garner their support for UNHCR’s actions? How can we encourage them to donate to continue supporting aid for refugees around the world?
Our Idea
"A Refugee's Journey": an immersive game that plunges us into the harsh reality of refugee life, educating players on the challenges they face in their struggle to save their lives and those of their families.
